This policy explains how this noncommercial music-discovery public beta handles information.

Anonymous listener identity

The site creates a random browser identifier so it can remember My Discoveries, recently served tracks, and recommendation preferences without requiring an account. The server stores a one-way keyed hash of that identifier rather than the browser token itself. Optional session genres are kept in browser session storage and normally disappear when that browser session ends.

Interaction information

The site records recommendation impressions and explicit actions such as More Like This, Next, opening a Spotify link, removing a discovery, or reporting a broken track. These events support recommendations, operational analytics, abuse prevention, and catalog maintenance. Public rankings are not created or displayed.

Spotify embeds

Spotify is a third-party service. Loading or using an embedded Spotify player may allow Spotify to receive device, browser, cookie, and playback information under Spotify's own policies. The website does not receive your Spotify password or require a Spotify account connection.

Track submissions

The public submission form accepts a Spotify track URL and requires one controlled broad genre. It does not request a submitter name, email address, account, or relationship to the artist. The server retrieves available public track, artist, album, artwork, release, recording, availability, and artist-genre metadata from Spotify. When Spotify provides no usable genre, the server may send the track title, artist name, or recording identifier to configured classification sources such as MusicBrainz or Last.fm.

Submission records are retained for duplicate detection, automated limits, catalog maintenance, abuse response, rights requests, and operational history. When complete metadata is temporarily unavailable, a track may remain in a private enrichment queue until the required catalog information can be resolved. Internal identifiers may be generated for database integrity, but no public reference-number or personal follow-up process is required.

Network abuse controls

Short-lived, privacy-preserving network keys may be created to enforce metadata-check and submission limits. Raw IP addresses are not intended to be retained as permanent listener or submitter identifiers.

Browser storage and deletion

You can use the Reset option in the listening interface to start a new anonymous profile and clear the active My Discoveries list for that browser identity. Clearing browser cookies may also disconnect the browser from its stored history.

Noncommercial operation

The site does not charge listeners or submitters, sell placement, display advertising, or sell listener interaction data. The site may change or close without notice while the public beta is evaluated.
